Brass Rivets
- Instructions : Push the rivet through the hole then turn the material over. Place burr on rivet, then use the rivet setting tool’s straight hole to drive the burr down tight against the material. Cut the rivet off close to the burr with side or end nippers. Do not cut off flush with the burr, but leave about 1/16 of an inch above the burr. The hole on the side of the rivet setter can be used to dislodge any waste that is wedged into the tool. Place the concave recess of setter on the burr. Hold perpendicular and strike the tool forcefully, turning to the left then right as you strike. This spreads the end of the rivet over the burr, simultaneously rounding its end. A few extra blows from the riveting hammer can be used to flatten the rivet end a bit, if desired. (Setter and Hammer Not included)

Which size do I need?
For buckles, clips and sliders, the size is the inside width: the widest strap the piece takes. Match it to your strap, so a 1" buckle fits a 1" strap. Each product lists its measurements.
Solid brass or plated?
Solid brass is brass all the way through. Plated finishes, like nickel or black, are a colour layer over a base metal. On our snaps, every finish except solid brass is plated over steel.
What do I need to set snaps, rivets and grommets?
Each needs its own setter: the Basic Snap Setter Set for Line 20 and Segma snaps, the C.S. Osborne Durable Snap Setter for Line 20 and 24, the Rivet Setter & Anvil for double-capped rivets and the Grommet Setter for grommets. The Hand Press sets rivets, Line 20 and 24 snaps and grommets with the matching die.
How are zippers sold?
Raccagni Super R zipper tape is priced per inch and comes as one continuous length, so set the quantity to the inches you need. It's closed-end, and pulls are sold separately in matching sizes, each with top and bottom stops. Separating zippers come assembled with one pull.
Can I exchange hardware?
Unused hardware can be exchanged within 30 days for store credit. Cut zippers are final sale. Returns due to an ordering mistake have a 5% restocking fee.
Do you sell in bulk?
Bigger packs cost less per piece; each product shows the price per piece. For larger orders, get in touch to talk about wholesale.
What are your shipping options?
Canadian orders of $100 or more qualify for $16 flat-rate expedited shipping, and orders of $300 or more ship free within Canada (excluding Techsew machines). US orders ship for a flat $75 USD, including all duties and fees. International rates are calculated at checkout.
